I am a photographer who has been making photographs. . . for a long time. I was eight the first time I made an image using a 35mm film camera. 

The vast majority of the work I do today focuses on high school sports. Fourteen years ago the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun Times started paying me for images. If you're curious, you can see a portfolio of my work here. 

Within the last year I have started creating video content. Learning how to shoot, edit, publish, and share video has been an amazing new challenge. Video in many ways is similar to still images, but there are differences that make video in some ways more powerful than a single image. Sports imagery is always about athletes and figuring out how movement makes a clip dynamic, emotional,  or impossible to ignore is a new challenge that I love. 

In my personal life, I'm a happily married father of two sons and two Leonbergers.
